Born in Toronto, Canada, Valerie Pitalo studied in New York with the renowned flautists Julius Baker and Jeanne Baxtresser.
Her performing experience includes Principal Flute of several orchestras in the Toronto area, as well as Soloist appearances,
commercial jingle sessions, Broadway shows and CBC Radio Broadcasts. She performed frequently with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra
and the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra.
For several years she played Afternoon Tea at the five star King Edward Hotel where she was nominated for the
"Key to Toronto" hospitality award. Among the many people she has performed for are British Prime Minister Dame Margaret
Thatcher, President Ronald Reagan, Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret.
Valerie resides on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where she is the premiere flutist, performing in the Gulf Coast and New Orleans area.
Valerie and her versatile musical groups have been in demand at Sounds of the Holidays,
Beau Rivage Casino, Grand Casino Biloxi, Grand Casino Gulfport, Great Southern Club, Grass Lawn, Green Oaks B&B, The Old Place,
